Pio Chiaruttini, a man of unique creative and technical abilities, founded Calzificio De Pio more than a half a century ago. At first, the firm focused on perfecting the technology used for circular machines manufacturing stockings.
Subsequently, after having begun to produce men's socks, Calzificio De Pio achieved impressive market success thanks to the quality of a product that was far superior to that of the competition.
The firm grew steadily through the '80s, always, however, maintaining the high quality for which it had become known, due in part to the use of only the finest yarns.
